Cleanliness Drive Held at Habiganj Agricultural University 

A cleanliness drive was held at Habiganj Agricultural University (HAU) on Tuesday (September 15) with the aim of ensuring a clean, healthy, and hygienic environment across the university campus. The programme was organized at 4:30 pm on the university premises. Vice-Chancellor of Habiganj Agricultural University Professor Dr. Md. Mozammel Hoque and Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Ismail Hossain were present at the programme. 

Teachers, students, officers, and employees from various departments of the university participated in the cleanliness drive spontaneously. During the programme, waste and litter scattered across different areas of the university campus were removed, while awareness was raised about maintaining a clean and healthy environment. 

Speaking on the occasion, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Mozammel Haque said, “It is the responsibility of all of us to create a beautiful, clean, and healthy educational environment. A university is not only a place for acquiring knowledge; it is also an important platform for developing students’ sense of responsibility, discipline, and environmental awareness. If everyone remains conscious of keeping the university premises clean from their respective positions, it will be possible to build a beautiful and environmentally friendly campus.” 

He called upon the university’s teachers, students, officers, and employees to maintain cleanliness regularly and encourage others to remain conscious of the importance of a clean environment. 

It is expected that such initiatives will further strengthen the sense of cleanliness, environmental awareness, and responsibility among members of the university community towards their respective work and learning environments. Emphasis was also placed on continuing such awareness-building and cleanliness activities in the future to keep the university campus clean, beautiful, and environmentally friendly.
