Special Programs at Habiganj Agricultural University on the Occasion of Independence Day (26 March)
On Thursday, 26 March, Habiganj Agricultural University organized a series of day-long programs to observe the Great Independence and National Day with due dignity and solemnity. The day’s activities commenced at sunrise with the hoisting of the national flag by the university authorities.
Students, faculty members, and officials of the university gathered to commemorate the glorious memories of independence and to pay deep tribute to the martyrs. As part of the celebration, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Syed Sayem Uddin Ahmed, attended as the Chief Guest. At 9:00 AM, he laid a wreath at the university’s temporary memorial.
Later, at 9:30 AM, the Vice-Chancellor’s message was broadcast by the Public Relations and Publications Office. At 10:00 AM, a discussion meeting was held to mark the significance of the Independence and National Day.
In his speech, the Vice-Chancellor said, “To build a just and prosperous Bangladesh inspired by the ideals of the Liberation War, we must work together collectively. Through the advancement of education, research, and human values, we can achieve this goal.” Through the day-long programs, the university community remembered the history of the Liberation War and paid heartfelt tribute to the martyrs. At the same time, they reaffirmed their commitment to upholding the spirit and values of independence.
