The 6th Syndicate Meeting of Habiganj Agricultural University was held

The 6th Syndicate meeting of Habiganj Agricultural University, the university’s highest policy-making and chief executive authority, was held on Saturday (20 September) at 11:30 AM at the temporary campus of Habiganj Agricultural University located in the Bhadai area of Habiganj Sadar Upazila. The meeting was presided over by the Syndicate Chairman and Vice-Chancellor of the University, Professor Dr. Syed Sayeem Uddin Ahmed. Out of the 26 syndicate positions, two parliamentary seats and five others are currently vacant. Among the existing 21 members, 15 attended the 6th syndicate meeting in person. The meeting began with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an. Gratitude was expressed to all individuals who have sacrificed and dedicated themselves to the struggle for the rights of the people and land of Bengal. The meeting included detailed discussions on the progress of the university's administrative activities and future plans. Several important policy decisions were made, including the rational reorganization of the university’s academic faculties and departments, the formulation of a comprehensive Academic and Strategic Master Plan, and the development of the university’s organogram. According to the Habiganj Agricultural University Act, 2020, the Syndicate is the highest policy-making and chief executive authority of the university. In line with this Act, Habiganj Agricultural University was established with the aim of providing advanced education in agricultural sciences, innovating new technologies, and expanding agricultural, science, and technology education across the country. The university continues to operate with this mission.
