Habiganj, September 6 ─ Habiganj Agricultural University observed Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SM) with due religious solemnity and respect on Saturday. On the occasion, a special doa and milad mahfil was organized after Zuhr prayers at the Bhanga Pul Jame Mosque adjacent to the university. The doa was conducted by Md. Nazmul Hasan, Imam of Vadoi Mosque.
Teachers, officials, staff, and students from different faculties of the university attended the program. In addition, at 3:00 pm, a religious quiz and essay competition on the life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SM) was organized at a classroom of the Faculty of Agriculture.
In the quiz competition, Khandakar Ahnaf Jaman from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine secured first place, Tanvir Ahmed from the same faculty won second place, and Mustak Ahmed Bijoy from the Faculty of Agriculture achieved third place. In the essay competition, Fardina Rahul Maya from the Faculty of Fisheries won first place, Shahriyar Haque Noman from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine secured second place, and Zubair Ahmed from the same faculty took third place.
Later, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Syed Sayeem Uddin Ahmed, distributed prizes among the winners.
