Biography
Arun Chandra Barman was born on 1st June 1982 at Mymensingh district of Bangladesh. He completed Secondary School Certificate from Kewatkhali High School, Mymensingh, Bangladesh, in 1997 and Higher Secondary Certificate from K. B. I. College, Mymensingh, Bangladesh, in 1999. He obtained a four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Fisheries from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh. He then pursued his Master of Science degree in Fisheries Management from the same university and Doctor of Philosophy at the Department of Aquaculture, Universiti Putra Malaysia, Serdang, Selangor, Darul Ehsan, Malaysia. He was appointed as a scientific officer at Bangladesh Fisheries Research Institute (BFRI) Mymensingh, Bangladesh, in 2007. He served as a Senior Scientific Officer at BFRI, Mymensingh, Bangladesh. He was a project director of “Development and dissemination of pearl culture technology project in Bangladesh”, implemented by the Ministry of Fisheries and livestock, Bangladesh. Now, he is serving as an Associate professor as well as director of Research and director of Planning and Development at Habiganj Agricultural University, Habiganj, Bangladesh.
