Shaida Afrin is currently employed as a Lecturer in the Department of English, Habiganj Agricultural University. She completed her MA in Language and Literature in English and BA (Honors) in English with distinction from the Department of English, University of Barishal. Her areas of academic interests include language, culture, gender and media studies, postmodern literature, environmental humanities, literary theory, postcolonial literature and human psychology. She has conducted research on the areas of psychoanalysis, ecocriticism, spatial criticism and other related areas. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment where every student feels empowered to express themselves confidently. Driven by a deep passion for teaching and research, Shaida is committed to advancing intellectual growth and making meaningful contributions to academia and society as a whole.
