Dr. Jannat Shopan currently serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Haor and Hill Agriculture, Faculty of Agriculture, at Habiganj Agricultural University, Bangladesh. Her expertise lies in molecular science, with research interests spanning molecular plant breeding, plant viruses and fungi, the regulation of plant growth and development, and the distinctive ecosystems of haor and char regions.Dr. Shopan is a committed researcher who emphasizes diligence and effective time management in achieving her academic and professional goals. She completed her Ph.D. and postdoctoral research at Zhejiang University, China, supported by a full fellowship. She further expanded her expertise with a second postdoctoral research position at Sylhet Agricultural University, Bangladesh, under the BAS-USDA-funded project. Dr. Shopan also holds a Master of Science in Agronomy from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, where she was awarded the National Science and Technology Fellowship by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Bangladesh, for her research contributions.With over four years of extensive research experience, Dr. Shopan began her professional journey in 2012 as a Scientific Officer at the Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI). Throughout her career, she has been actively engaged in various research initiatives and has published 16 research articles, contributing significantly to her field. Her dedication to understanding and addressing the challenges of agriculture in unique ecosystems underscores her role as a vital contributor to the scientific community.
