Tartila Marzan Liza is a Lecturer in the Department of Rural Sociology at Habiganj Agricultural University, where she specializes in rural development, public health, and economic sustainability. With a strong academic foundation, she is deeply committed to addressing social inequalities and empowering marginalized communities through both her teaching and research. Her work focuses on a broad range of topics within rural development, including mental health issues, medical sociology, social challenges in public health, maternal and child health, women’s empowerment, gender discrimination, food security, and economic analysis. She is particularly passionate about exploring the social dynamics of rural populations and identifying effective strategies to tackle pressing issues such as health disparities, gender inequality, and food insecurity. Her research examines the intersections of rural development and health systems, with an emphasis on fostering inclusive and equitable outcomes for rural communities. She is also dedicated to examining the social and cultural barriers to women’s empowerment in rural areas, striving to develop strategies that promote gender equality and social justice. Her research interest in food insecurity and economic analysis seeks to improve agricultural sustainability and the livelihoods of rural populations, contributing to long-term economic resilience. As an educator, she is committed to equipping her students with the knowledge and skills necessary to make meaningful contributions to rural development. By bridging academic theory with practical solutions, she aims to help students understand how to create real-world change. She is excited about the future possibilities for collaboration with scholars, policymakers, and community leaders to tackle the challenges faced by rural populations and advance sustainable, inclusive development.
