DR. Sharmin Sultana Royal is holding the post of Lecturer in the department of Microbiology and Veterinary Public Health with a passion for teaching and supporting student’s academic achievement. She has completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) under the faculty of animal science and veterinary medicine from Patuakhali Science and Technology University (PSTU) and Master of Science (MS) in Microbiology under the department of Microbiology and Hygiene from Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Mymensingh.She is keen on professional development and strongly committed to inspiring young minds with positive engagement, sharing knowledge and skills. However, recently, she is looking for a PhD position in the field of microbiology and/or public health. Dr. Royal is a growing researcher and has research interest in AMR (Antimicrobial Resistance), One Health, Zoonosis, Microbial Bioinformatics & Genomics, Food Hygiene & Food Safety, Veterinary Public Health, Molecular Biology & Biotechnology, Immunology, Serology, Vaccinology and Microbiology (Bacteriology & Virology). Apart from the academic teaching and research, DR. Royal is also involved in outreach activity like small animal practicing (specially pet, birds & companion animal).DR. Royal has superb academic achievements. She received ‘Dean's Merit Award’ in DVM. She also received National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship for MS research from Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. DR. Royal also got General Board Scholaraship for her outstanding result in HSC.DR. Royal is a registered member of Bangladesh Veterinary Council (BVC Reg. No.; 7810). She is also a member of of Bangladesh Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA) as well as a life member of Bangladesh Society for Veterinary Education and Research (BSVER), Bangladesh Society for Safe Food (BSSF). She attended many training, workshops, seminars, and conferences as part of academic and professional improvement.
