Shathi Akter is a passionate academic and researcher in the field of animal nutrition, dedicated to advancing sustainable and efficient livestock production. She completed her undergraduate in Animal Husbandry and master’s in Animal Nutrition at Bangladesh Agricultural University, Bangladesh. Her master’s research focused on phytogenic feed additives, investigating the effects of rutin (flavonoid) in broiler. This work provided her with valuable insights into non-ruminant nutrition and practical research techniques, including digestibility trials and laboratory analysis. Currently, Shathi serves as a Lecturer in the Department of Animal Nutrition at Habiganj Agricultural University, Habiganj, Bangladesh. She teaches courses on ruminant and non-ruminant nutrition, as well as fodder production and conservation. Her role has sharpened her critical thinking, laboratory expertise, data analysis skills, and ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.Shathi gained hands-on experience in poultry farming during her internship at the West Bengal Poultry Federation in India, where she honed her skills in serological testing, microbiology, and disease diagnosis. Additionally, she has explored phytogenic feed additives and worked with animal models, reinforcing her commitment to addressing modern challenges in livestock production.With aspirations of contributing to global animal nutrition science, Shathi is focused on developing sustainable strategies to enhance livestock efficiency while ensuring environmental and economic viability. Beyond her professional pursuits, she values a balanced approach to work and life, cherishing meaningful connections and family values.
