Eeshita Mandal is an entomologist with a keen interest in understanding the biology of insect vectors, ecological roles of insects and their sustainable management. She completed her bachelor’s degree in agriculture from the Agrotechnology Discipline of Khulna University, Bangladesh, in 2016 where she first fascinated for exploring the insect biology and their behavior. To deepen her knowledge, she pursued a master’s degree in Entomology from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU), in 2018 where She honed her research skills in pest management and insect ecology. Currently (from 2022), she is pursuing her PhD in Applied Entomology at Andong National University, South Korea for enriching her specific research interest. Her research focuses on the interaction of insect vectors with plant viruses, where she aims to develop innovative solutions for agricultural challenges related to viral attacks on crops. She is fortunately working alongside esteemed researchers, which has significantly supported her expertise. Besides (from 2024), she has appointed as a full-time lecturer in the Department of Entomology in Habiganj Agricultural University, Bangladesh. In addition to the academic and career pursuits, she actively engages with the global scientific community through different scientist’s platforms which have allowed her to collaborate with fellow researchers, enhancing her academic growth. Her passion for entomology drives her to continue exploring new avenues for sustainable pest control and insect conservation, and she aspires to make meaningful contributions to the field of entomology.
