Montasima Akter is a Lecturer in the Department of Horticulture at Habiganj Agricultural University, Habiganj. She began her academic journey at Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, where she gained a solid foundation in horticultural theories and practices. This educational experience fueled her curiosity and dedication to tackling complex agricultural challenges through innovative research. She earned her Master’s degree with a thesis titled “Integrated nutrient management approaches increased the growth and yield of carrot” from the same institution. Her findings were published in the Journal of Agriculture, Food and Environment (JAFE), underscoring her commitment to contributing to the scientific community. These accomplishments have strengthened her determination to explore new frontiers in horticultural science and collaborate with researchers worldwide. As a researcher, she focuses on soil nutrient management and sustainable crop production. Her work addresses critical global challenges such as soil contamination caused by synthetic fertilizers and heavy metals issues that threaten food security, public health, and environmental stability. Looking ahead, she is keen to keep advancing crop production through creative research that not only solves present issues but also anticipates demands in the future. By her work, she hopes to make a significant contribution to the advancement of scientific knowledge on crop production.
