Tukir Ahamed is a lecturer in the section of Agricultural Economics, department of Allied Sciences at Habiganj Agricultural University, Bangladesh. He earned both his B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.S. in Agricultural Economics from Sylhet Agricultural University, specializing in Production Economics. His research focuses on agricultural economics, production economics, food security, rural livelihoods, climate change adaptation, and sustainable agricultural development. He has published research in international peer reviewed journals and presented his work at academic conferences. Before joining academia, he served as a Senior Officer at Bangladesh Krishi Bank and worked as a Research Assistant and Research Fellow on projects related to agricultural policy, nutrition sensitive agriculture, and rural development. He is proficient in quantitative research methods and statistical software. His current research aims to generate evidence that supports sustainable agricultural practices and policies to improve the livelihoods of farming communities in Bangladesh.
